Emma is a Skate Canada Certified Regional Figure Skating Coach at the Beaver Valley Skating Club. She joined the club in March 2021 after relocating to Trail, BC from Northwestern Ontario for work in September 2020.
Emma began her skating journey with the Border Skating Club in Fort Frances, Ontario, achieving Gold Skills, Gold Dance, and Gold Interpretive status. After graduating high-school, she paused her skating career to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering at Queen's University (2018) and a Master's of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering (2020).
In 2020, Emma accepted a job offer with Hatch. She packed up all her things and set off for her new adventure in the Kootenays. She connected with BVSC to re-engage with the figure skating community. Since March 2021, she has obtained her CanSkate and Regional coach certifications and actively coaches all BVSC programs.
Emma received her Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation in February 2024 and continues to work full-time as a Structural Engineer with Hatch in Trail. She thoroughly enjoys her time on (and off) the ice, coaching and mentoring skaters, and watching them grow into amazing and confident athletes.
Zoey Crockart, COACH

Zoey Crockart has been coaching since 2018 and she is currently a Certified Regional (Level 1) and Trained Provincial Coach (Level 2). Zoey has previously worked at various clubs around the Kootenays, as well as the lower mainland. Working at multiple clubs has given her the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from many other coaches as well as work with skaters at all levels of singles skating.
As a former skater, Zoey personally achieved her Gold Feet in all 4 disciplines of skating, including ice dance, skills, freeskate and interpretive (now referred to as artistic). Outside of skating, Zoey holds a 3-year advanced diploma in Rural Pre-Medicine and is a current Entry to Practice PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) student at the University of British Columbia.
Payton Fowler, CanSkate COACH
Payton Fowler is a Skate Canada Certified CanSkate coach. Payton is a dedicated figure skater with 13 years of experience in the sport, developing strong discipline, perseverance, and leadership through long-term training. Payton earned her Gold Feet in Artistic 2024 and Gold Feet in Skills 2025, highlighting a well-rounded skating background. Her favourite part of skating is freeskate, where creativity and technical skill come together. Beyond skating, Payton founded the Nitehawks cheer team, demonstrating initiative and a passion for building positive team environments. On August 31, 2023, Payton received her CanSkate coaching certification, marking an important step into coaching and mentoring the next generation of skaters.
Adleigh Rodgers CanSkate COACH
Adleigh has been skating with the BVSC since she was four years old, and the rink has always felt like a second home. She has six years of experience as a Program Assistant (PA), and completed her CanSkate course in July 2025.
Adleigh is currently a CanSkate Coach-in-Training, and enjoys helping young skaters build confidence and develop their skills. As a Grade 10 student, she balances school with her love of sports, including skating, volleyball, soccer and swimming at Christina Lake. Adleigh is currently working on Star 10 dance, Star 10 skills, Gold artistic, and Star 6 freeskate.
